PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical detection device which has simple structure and can detect the movement of an object.SOLUTION: The optical detection device for detecting an object using light comprises: a first light emission unit 121 for emitting a narrow-angle light; a second light emission unit 122 for emitting a wide-angle light; a light-receiving unit 123 for generating a photoelectric current by a photovoltaic effect upon receiving the narrow-angle and wide-angle light reflected from the object; and a detection unit 140 for detecting that there is some movement of the object when, within a predetermined time, a distance L between the first light emission unit 121 and the object that is obtained on the basis of the photoelectric current generated by the narrow-angle light in the light-receiving unit 123 is within a predetermined first range, and a characteristic value associated with the movements of the object obtained on the basis of the photoelectric current generated by the wide-angle light in the light-receiving unit 123 is within a predetermined second range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
