PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure a range of sensing in a vehicle width direction while upgrading damageability relevant to a peripheral component.SOLUTION: On a front bumper 10, a buffer load from an impacter I propagates through a propagation area A1 between a first inclined line SL1 and a second inclined line SL2 which are 30° inclined in a vehicle width direction with respect to a reference normal NL that passes through an adjoining nodal point P1. An outside end 20A in the vehicle width direction of a bumper RF20 is disposed in an area A2 between the reference normal NL and the first inclined line SL1. Therefore, the buffer load is transmitted to an absorber side part 30S and the bumper RF20 which are disposed in the area A2, and a pressure tube 52 is crushed by the absorber side part 30S and the bumper RF20. Accordingly, even if the outside end 20A in the vehicle width direction of the bumper RF20 is disposed inside a fore-and-aft reference line CL in the vehicle width direction, a collision of the impacter I disposed on the fore-and-aft reference line CL can be sensed by a pedestrian collision detection sensor 50.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
