PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a product and a method of operating the same which offer a simpler and more reliable way of managing the start of a regatta.SOLUTION: A race start assistance method for a boat (1) participating in a regatta including a pre-race having a duration (T) before the crossing of a start line (2) includes a first step intended to permit the creation and storage of the start line (2) in a virtual form, and the determination of the instantaneous speed (V) of the boat and its position with respect to the start line, so as to provide at least one indication on how to proceed in the pre-race.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
