PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilayer ceramic capacitor that further suppresses generation of cracks and the occurrence of a short circuit due to cracks than ever before.SOLUTION: A multilayer ceramic capacitor includes: a laminate body that includes a plurality of laminated dielectric layers and a plurality of laminated conductor layers and has a first principal surface and a second principal surface; and a pair of outer electrodes. The laminate body includes: in a lamination direction, a first outer layer portion that is a dielectric layer positioned nearest to the first principal surface side; a second outer layer portion that is a dielectric layer positioned nearest to the second principal surface side; and an inner layer portion that is positioned between the first outer layer portion and the second outer layer portion and includes the conductor layer nearest to the first principal surface and the conductor layer nearest to the second principal surface. The second outer layer portion includes: an outside outer layer portion having the second principal surface and an inside outer layer portion positioned between the outside outer layer portion and the inner layer portion. When an average grain diameter of the dielectric layer configuring the outside outer layer portion is defined as Po and an average grain diameter of the dielectric layer included in the inner layer portion is defined as Pe, the relationship: Po/Pe>1 is satisfied. When a thickness of the second outer layer portion is defined as hand a thickness of the outside outer layer portion is defined as h, the relationship: 2h/3>his satisfied.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
