PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a management system for continuously managing equipment information of information processing equipment even in the case that a unique device number belonging to the information processing equipment is changed due to function addition, such as a change in a continuous copying speed, and a method for controlling the system.SOLUTION: A device management server 102 transmits a device number correspondence information issuing request to a license management server 101 in the case that a device number added to counter information received from an image forming apparatus 111 is new. The license management server 101 generates device number correspondence information on the basis of a device number included in the device number correspondence information issuing request, a model change table, and a license history table, and responds to the device management server 102. The device management server 102 manages counter information of device numbers before and after change associated with the device number correspondence information as counter information of the same image forming apparatus 111.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
