PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To update software via a network without having a nonvolatile memory region for saving and inform about the state of software update utilizing a single function UI.SOLUTION: When a start mode is set to update start, a boot loader program 50 downloads an updater program from a server 103 to start the updater program after saving the state of an UI display section 23 into a volatile memory. After retrieving the state of the saved UI display section 23 from the volatile memory to restore it, the updater program downloads a main program from the server 103, rewrites the main program in a nonvolatile memory 121, makes the start mode normal start, and performs reboot.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12 |
