PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode active material for nonaqueous secondary battery capable of obtaining high capacity at an atmospheric temperature by suppressing cycle deterioration, a nonaqueous secondary battery and on-vehicle nonaqueous secondary battery module.SOLUTION: The cathode active material for nonaqueous secondary battery comprises an internal part 1, an intermediate part 2 which is provided on a surface of the internal part, and a surface part 3 which is provided on a surface of the intermediate part. The surface part 3, the intermediate part 2 and the internal part have different compositions, contain Ni and Mn, comprise a layered structure and include particles for which an atomic concentration Cs of Ni in the surface part 3, an atomic concentration Cm of Ni in the intermediate part 2 and an atomic concentration Cc of Ni in the internal part satisfy the relation of Cs<Cm<Cc and a concentration gradient Gs of the atomic concentration of Ni in the surface part 3 and a concentration gradient Gm of the atomic concentration of Ni in the intermediate part 2 satisfy the relation of Gs<Gm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
