PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve design of a head board, and eventually of a bed when the head board has a shelf board movable in a vertical direction in the bed with the head board.SOLUTION: A head board 20 of a bed 1 has a second frame part W2 and a plate-like shelf board 22 which can be positioned in a first position P1 where the shelf board covers an upper part of the second frame part W2 and in a second position P2 that is lower than the first position P1 in a vertical direction. The shelf board 22 has a leg part 22c provided on a rear face 22b of the shelf board 22 in one end part E1. The second frame part W2 has a first support plate 21f for supporting the other end part E2 of the shelf board 22 when the shelf board 22 is positioned in the first position P1 and a plate-like second support plate 21h which supports the leg part 22c when the shelf board 22 is positioned in the first position P1 and supports one of a surface 22a and the rear face 22b of the shelf board 22 when the shelf board 22 is positioned in the second position P2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
