PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor for a ceiling fan, having structure enabling a degradation in a detection accuracy of a rotation sensor to be suppressed.SOLUTION: According to one embodiment of the present invention, the motor for a ceiling fan comprises a shaft, a stator, an upper motor cover, a bearing part, a lower motor cover, a rotor magnet, and a circuit board that is provided below the stator. The upper motor cover is a ferromagnetic substance. The circuit board includes: a board body; the rotation sensor which is fitted to the board body and vertically opposite to the rotor magnet; and a circuit component having mass larger than that of the rotation sensor. When a virtual line is defined which is orthogonal to a line connecting the rotation sensor and the central axis of the shaft in vertical view, and passes through the shaft, the center of gravity of the circuit board is positioned in one region other than a region in which the rotation sensor is positioned, of two regions of the circuit board separated by the virtual line.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
