PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: an electrode which enables the enhancement in characteristics by minimizing a decomposition reaction of an electrolytic solution, which is caused as a side reaction accompanying charge/discharge in repeatedly charging/discharging a power storage device such as a lithium ion battery or a lithium ion capacitor; and a method for manufacturing such an electrode.SOLUTION: An electrode 101 and a manufacturing method thereof are provided. The electrode comprises: a current collector 102; and an active material layer 103. The active material layer 103 has: an active material 111; a silicone-containing film 112; a conductive assistant 114; and a binder 113. The active material 111 has a granular form.
