PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell capable of preventing a solid electrolyte layer and a barrier layer from being exfoliated.SOLUTION: A fuel cell 10 comprises a fuel electrode 20, a solid electrolyte layer 30, an intermediate layer 40, a barrier layer 50 and an air electrode 60. The solid electrolyte layer 30 is disposed between the fuel electrode 20 and the air electrode 60 and contains zirconium. The barrier layer 50 is disposed between the solid electrolyte layer 30 and the air electrode 60 and contains cerium. The intermediate layer 40 is disposed between the solid electrolyte layer 30 and the barrier layer 50 and contains zirconium and cerium. On a cross section of the intermediate layer 40, the intermediate layer 40 includes a plurality of flat particles of which the dimension in a thickness direction is smaller than a dimension in a plane direction. On the cross section of the intermediate layer, an average aspect ratio of the plurality of flat particles is 1.2 or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
