PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery which enables the achievement of superior battery characteristics.SOLUTION: A secondary battery comprises: a positive electrode; a negative electrode; and an electrolytic solution including at least one kind of fluorinated compounds expressed by X-CY1Y2-CY3=CY4Y5. In the formula, X is a monovalent group including, as constituent elements, carbon and at least one kind of appropriate elements (except carbon); Y1 to Y5 each represent any of a hydrogen group, a fluorine group, a monovalent carbon hydride group and a monovalent fluorinated carbon hydride group, provided that at least one of Y1 to Y5 is a fluorine group.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
