PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conductive polymer solution by which a conductive polymer layer can be formed with good coverage without forming a layer for improving the adhesion of a conductive polymer layer, thereby enabling the production of an electrolytic capacitor hard to cause a trouble owing to a leakage current and superior in reliability.SOLUTION: A conductive polymer solution comprises a conductive polymer, water and an organic solvent, of which the zeta potential is 50 mV or less in absolute value. An electrolytic capacitor can be provided by using the conductive polymer solution, which comprises: a capacitor element in which the ratio (Corner part film thickness (21t)/Plane part film thickness (22t)) of a thickness of a conductive polymer layer in a corner part (21) to that in a plane part (22) is 0.05-1. A method for producing the electrolytic capacitor comprises the step of: applying the conductive polymer solution to a surface of a capacitor element with an oxide surface film formed on a valve metal surface; or immersing the capacitor element in the conductive polymer solution.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
