PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chip thermistor which has been adjusted to a desired value of resistance reliably.SOLUTION: A chip thermistor 1 includes a thermistor 7 and a pair of composites 9. The thermistor 7 is composed of ceramics containing a metal oxide as a main component, and has a pair of end faces 7a facing each other. The pair of composites 9 are composed of a composite material containing a metal and a metal oxide, and connected with the pair of end faces 7a of the thermistor 7. The thermistor 7 has a desired value of resistance because the cross-sectional area perpendicular to the opposite direction of the pair of end faces 7a decreases gradually from each end face 7a side toward the central part of the pair of end faces 7a in the opposite direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
