PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock absorber capable of keeping in a contraction state, while reducing costs.SOLUTION: A shock absorber 100 includes a plate 12 fixed to a tip side with respect to a nut 11 in a piston rod 4 by caulking the piston rod 4, and an engagement part (bottom part 7b) provided on the bottom part side of an inner tube 1 and engaging the plate 12.
