PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for knitting a fabric including a projection part whose shape is hardly crushed even when external pressure is applied to the projection part made to branch from a base knitted fabric.SOLUTION: A base knitted fabric 1 is branched, and while stitches in a stitch row 2 on one side are retained on knitting needles, a step of forming stitches in only a stitch row 3 on the other side in a wale direction is repeated, and a projection part 4 is completed by performing joining again. For a tubular knitted fabric formed as the projection part 4, connection yarns are connected at positions facing each other in the radial direction of a tube and in a zigzag manner in the length direction of the tube, so that connection parts supporting the tube are formed. As a result, the projection part 4 can be made into a three-dimensional shape, and the projection part 4 becomes hardly crushed even when external pressure is applied.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
