PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a power generator to be rapidly started up while assuring safety characteristic of a waste-heat boiler 1 when an operation of the power generator 2 is needed due to power failure in commercial power line in the waste-heat boiler 1 using exhaust gas discharged out of the power generator 2 such as a gas engine.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a waste-heat boiler 1 for generating steam upon receiving supply of exhaust gas being discharged out of a power generator 2 where combustion is carried out. When a normal power generating operation with the power generator 2 is started, the waste-heat boiler 1 performs a preparation step for energization of the power generator 2 before starting the power generating operation and outputs a boiler preparation complete signal after completion of boiler preparation, the power generator 2 starts to perform a power generating operation after a preparation complete signal of the waste-heat boiler is outputted . When the power generating operation of the power generator is started under a state of power failure at the commercial power line, the waste-heat boiler 1 outputs the boiler preparation complete signal even if the preparation step for the energization of the aforesaid power generator 2 is not finished.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
