PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique effective for preventing a nozzle pore from being closed in accordance with solidification of residual molten steel in the nozzle pore which can occur during an interval up to re-opening after discharging filler sand or after pouring molten steel.SOLUTION: A sliding nozzle device for a molten metal retaining container and a pouring method of the molten metal is characterized in that, in relation to the sliding nozzle device composed of a combination of upper and lower stationary plates and a sliding plate which is located and is movably retained between them, a diameter-expanded part is provided on a position corresponding to the rear edge part side upon the movement, on a lower part of a nozzle pore of the sliding plate, a diameter-expanded part is provided on a position corresponding to the movement direction side of the sliding plate, on an upper part of the nozzle pore of the lower stationary plate and a gas blowing plug is provided on a position opposite to a nozzle pore of the upper stationary plate, on the upper surface brought into contact with the upper stationary plate lower surface of the sliding plate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
