PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abrasion resistant steel sheet having excellent flexure processability and excellent impact abrasion resistance.SOLUTION: A steel raw material having a composition containing, by mass%, C: 0.13 to 0.36%, Si: 0.05 to 1.0%, Mn: 0.10 to 2.00%, Cr: 0.05 to 2.0%, P: 0.020% or less, S: 0.005% or less, Al: 0.10% or less and N:0.005% or less is cooled at a cooling rate consisting of a function of an index exhibiting hardenability with average cooling rate CR on a steel sheet surface in a temperature range of 800 to 500°C. This provides a steel sheet having a structure at a position of 1 mm from a surface in a sheet thickness direction, consisting of a bainite phase and an island martensite phase or further a martensite phase and provides an abrasion resistant steel sheet excellent in flexure processability and excellent in impact abrasion resistance by adjusting hardness at the position of 1 mm from the surface in the sheet thickness direction.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
