PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately restrict entrance of a person who is not suitable for a facility.SOLUTION: A gate control system comprises: an authentication device 3; and a gate control device 1. The authentication device 3 identifies a card number on a credit card 5A of a user of a play facility, executes a credit inquiry about the credit card 5A using the card number, and transmits approval information for allowing the gate control device 1 to open a gate when a result of the credit inquiry shows approval of a use of the credit card.
