PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bite cutting device in which a measurement error of a height gage due to a temperature difference can be prevented, and of which a cost of a device configuration can be reduced.SOLUTION: A bite cutting device 2 for rotationally cutting a tabular work-piece is equipped with: bite cutting means having a bite tool 22 which is mounted onto a tip of a spindle 16 and cuts the work-piece; cutting liquid supply means for supplying a cutting liquid to the bite cutting means; a first height gage 50 which measures a top surface height of the work-piece located on a travel route between a carry-in/carry-out area A and a cutting area B; a second height gage 52 which measures a height of a holding surface of a chuck table 30 located on the travel route; a first injection nozzle 54 which injects a cooling liquid towards the first height gage; and a second injection nozzle 56 which injects a cooling liquid towards the second height gage. A cooling liquid having a same temperature is supplied to the first injection nozzle and the second injection nozzle, and the cooling liquid comprises a cutting liquid supplied from the cutting liquid supply means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
