PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economical, efficient, and delicious meal service.SOLUTION: In a meal service cooking method using a meal service cart 1 having a tray housing part 40 for housing trays T where tableware 51-54 such as a bowl and a plate are placed in plural shelves and a superheated steam supply part 6 for supplying superheated steam on the respective trays T, after the trays T where one or a plurality of the tableware 51-54 in which cooking ingredients such as rice, meat, and vegetables are put are placed are housed inside the tray housing part 40 in the plural shelves, the superheated steam is supplied to the inside of the tray housing part 40 from the superheated supply part 6 for cooking the cooking ingredients housed in the tableware 51-54 on the respective trays T.
