PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that in an object detection device, false detection occurs in a photographing place where a similar object exists, and failure in detection occurs when an object is captured in a state differing from conditions in learning data.SOLUTION: Area of interest setting means 131 sets an area of interest within an input image. Comparison area setting means 134 sets a comparison area of a shape corresponding to the area of interest within the input image. Object conformity calculation means 132 calculates object conformity indicating likelihood that a target object exists in a prescribed area of image that is set within the input image by using shape information extracted from the image. Color similarity calculation means 135 compares the image of the area of interest with the image of the comparison area at a different set position than the set position of the area of interest by using color information and calculates similarity. The object conformity calculation means 132 adjusts the object conformity of the prescribed area by using the similarity. Determination means 138 determines that the target object is captured in the image of the prescribed area whose object conformity after the adjustment is greater than or equal to a detection threshold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
