PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll compressor capable of restricting induction of damage at a winding finish end of a movable side lap through reverse rotation of a movable scroll at the time of stoppage of operation.SOLUTION: A scroll compressor comprises a fixed scroll and a movable scroll 32, the fixed side lap and a movable side lap 322 are combined to each other to form a compression chamber. If it is assumed that an imaginary movable side lap 100 extending up to the maximum height Hmax in a range starting of winding to finishing of winding, the movable side lap is formed with a recess 200 in respect to the imaginary movable side lap around the winding finishing part. A shape 400 of the recess as seen from its side view is a polygon including: a first side 401 in which a part near a front surface 321a of the movable side end plate 321 is removed from a straight line extending vertically at the winding finish of the imaginary movable side lap; a second side 402 extending from the upper end of the first side up to the maximum height position of the movable side lap in a horizontal direction; a third side 403 extending from the end part of the second side downwardly; and a fourth side 404 extending from the lower end of the third side toward a slant downward direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
