PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium having high scratch resistance and ink absorbency, with excellent color development in an obtained image.SOLUTION: A recording medium includes: a water-resistant base material; a first ink receiving layer; and a second ink receiving layer being an outermost surface layer, in this order. The first ink receiving layer includes vapor phase process silica and binder. The second ink receiving layer includes: colloidal silica having an average primary particle diameter of 50-100 nm; and polyvinyl alcohol having a silanol group.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
