PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of a voltage equalization device.SOLUTION: A voltage equalization device according to the embodiment is the voltage equalization device which enables voltage equalization of a plurality of battery cells by repeatedly performing a process that a charge of one battery cell of a plurality of battery cells each serially connected is transmitted to the other battery cell. The voltage equalization device comprises: a first capacitor that has capacitance smaller than the capacitance of the battery cell; a second capacitor capable of parallel connecting to the first capacitor and that has the capacitance larger than the capacitance of the first capacitor; and a changeover control part that, prior to transmit the charge of the battery cell in a source to the battery cell in a destination through the second capacitor, enables a plurality of processes for transmitting the charge in the source to the second capacitor through the first capacitor until a storage voltage of the second capacitor comes to the voltage of battery cell in the destination.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
