PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the unintended actuation of the overheat prevention means of a light source.SOLUTION: A projector 100 includes a lamp 16 which radiates light and a thermostat 20 which is arranged in the vicinity of the lamp 16 and stops the lighting of the lamp 16, when reaching a predetermined temperature. A plurality of thermostats 20 are provided with respect to the lamp 16. The projector 100 further includes installation state selection means which selects the installation state of the projector 100 and overheat prevention selection means which selects the validated thermostat 20 from the plurality of thermostats 20 by the installation state selected by the installation state selection means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
