PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent for oral administration, a therapeutic agent for chronic kidney disease, and a therapeutic agent for cardiovascular complications which relieve chronic kidney disease and cardiovascular disease due to indoxyl sulfate.SOLUTION: According to the invention, an absorbent for oral administration containing paramylum is provided. In the absorbent for oral administration, a hydroxyl group of the paramylum may be substituted by glycidol. According to one embodiment of the invention, a therapeutic agent for chronic kidney disease and a therapeutic agent for cardiovascular complications containing the absorbent for oral administration are provided. The therapeutic agent for chronic kidney disease and the therapeutic agent for cardiovascular complications may further include oligosaccharides, and may further include lactic acid bacteria and/or butyric acid bacteria.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
