PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radial foil bearing suppressing warpage of a top foil at both side end parts of a bearing, and preventing local abrasion of the top foil.SOLUTION: A radial foil bearing is externally inserted into a rotational shaft and supports the rotational shaft. The radial foil bearing includes a cylindrical top foil arranged oppositely to the rotational shaft, a back foil arranged to radial outside of the top foil, and a cylindrical bearing housing storing the top foil and the back foil in an internally inserted state. A thickness of a foil containing the top foil arranged between the back foil and the rotational shaft is made thinner at both side parts in a long direction of the rotational shaft than at a central part thereof.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
