PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a periodic displacement in measurement of a displacement of tissue using an ultrasonic wave.SOLUTION: A displacement measurement part 30 measures a displacement of tissue after the generation of a shear wave in a subject on the basis of a reception signal corresponding to a reception beam of a tracking wave obtained from a reception part 14. A fluctuation detection part 40 detects a periodic displacement on the basis of the measurement result of the displacement obtained from the displacement measurement part 30. A shear wave speed calculation part 50 calculates the propagation speed of the shear wave in the subject on the basis of the measurement result obtained from the displacement measurement part 30 and the detection result obtained from the fluctuation detection part 40.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
