PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combining display method that is excellent in usability allowing a simple operation to combine arbitrary areas.SOLUTION: As one aspect to solve the above-described problem, a method is configured to combine a plurality of areas in a document to display the combined area in a display area by information processing of a computer, and the method is provided that includes the steps of: in response to user's marking of an area in the document, recording information on the marked area; preparing an icon representing the marked area to display the prepared icon; repeating the step of recording and step of displaying as to a different area; in response to user's operation of bringing two or more icons into contact with each other, coupling the icons to prepare a coupled icon; and combining mark areas represented by respective icons in accordance with a form of the contact.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10 |
