PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promptly and securely detect the abnormal rise of the temperature of a fixation belt to appropriately prevent the damage to the fixation belt.SOLUTION: In a fixation device 30, a pressure member 33 comes into contact with a fixation belt 31 that is heated by a heating device 32, and a toner image t is fixed on a recording medium S between the pressure member 33 that is rotationally driven and the fixation belt 31. In the fixation device, the fixation belt 31 deformed by heat is deformed in a specific direction by deformation direction regulation means 40; when the amount of deformation of the fixation belt 31 deformed in this way reaches a prescribed amount, the reaching is detected by deformation amount detection means 50; and heating control means 60 controls the heating device 32 on the basis of the detection result of the deformation amount detection means 50 to stop the heating of the fixation belt 31.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
