PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell capable of efficiently supplying air to a cathode catalyst layer.SOLUTION: A fuel cell 3 includes: an electrolyte membrane 64; an anode electrode 65 which is disposed on one surface of the electrolyte membrane 64 in a thickness direction and to which liquid fuel is supplied; a cathode electrode 66 which is disposed on the other surface of the electrolyte membrane 64 in a thickness direction and to which oxygen is supplied; and a cathode side diffusion layer 68 disposed on the other side in a thickness direction with respect to the cathode electrode 66. A knitted matter 70 is provided in the cathode side diffusion layer 68, the knitter matter being configured to increase permeability with an increase of humidity and containing conductive carbon.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
