PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealant for a liquid crystal display element, which is excellent in adhesiveness and is capable of suppressing the generation of seal breaking or contamination of liquid crystal, and to provide a vertical conduction material and a liquid crystal display element that are produced using the sealant.SOLUTION: A sealant for a liquid crystal display element, which is used for sealing liquid crystal between substrates of a liquid crystal display element, includes a curable resin, a polymerization initiator and/or a thermosetting agent, and soft particles having a maximum particle size of 100% or more of a cell gap of the liquid crystal display element. The soft particles have a functional group that can react with a functional group capable of fixing to the substrates of the liquid crystal display element and/or the curable resin.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
