PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article provided with three-dimensional gathers showing soft touch and an excellent texture.SOLUTION: An absorbent article includes an absorbent body 10, a pair of side sheets 20 arranged on both right and left sides in a width direction of the absorbent body 10, and a plurality of three-dimensional gather expanding and contracting members 30 fixed on tip end areas of the pair of the side sheets 20. The plurality of the three-dimensional gather expanding and contracting members 30 include a first linear expanding and contracting member 31 extending linearly in a longitudinal direction and a first wavy expanding and contracting member 41 extending while bending or being folded in a wavy manner in the longitudinal direction. Since the first wavy expanding and contracting member 41 is arranged to be overlapped with the first linear expanding and contracting member 31 periodically, three-dimensional creases are formed in three-dimensional gathers. Consequently, soft touch and an excellent texture are imparted to the three-dimensional gathers.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
