摘要 The present invention relates to a recombinant vector for increasing disease resistance in plants, into which a T-DNA sequence is inserted so that a LOC_Os06g22440 gene encoding methyltransferase can be inactivated. The present invention further relates to a plant transformant containing the recombinant vector, and to a method for producing the transformant. In addition, the present invention also relates to a method for increasing disease resistance in rice, which includes a step of inactivating the LOC_Os06g22440 gene by using the recombinant vector. By inserting the T-DNA sequence in the sequence of the LOC_Os06g22440 gene which is a disease susceptible gene against bacterial leaf blight and exists inherently in rice, the transgenic rice has strong resistance against bacterial leaf blight. The use of the transgenic rice can bring reduction in the use of pesticides, an increase in productivity, and the safe supply of crops owing to the disease resistance. Thus, the transgenic rice can be widely used.
