The present invention relates to an apparatus for diagnosing malfunction in a hydrogen supply device in a fuel cell vehicle which shuts down after precisely and stably determining malfunction occurring in internal parts autonomously. The present invention further relates to a method thereof. According to the present invention, the apparatus includes: an MCU formed in a multi-core and diagnosing malfunction in a hydrogen valve part and a hydrogen recirculation bloor; a malfunction diagnosing part diagnosing malfunction in the hydrogen valve part and the hydrogen recirculation bloor; and a controlling part determining whether to shut down the hydrogen valve part and the hydrogen recirculation bloor, based on the diagnosed outcome from the MCU and the malfunction diagnosing part. |
