A terminal device is disclosed. The terminal device comprises: a communications interface unit configured to receive content; a fingerprint extracting unit configured to extract a fingerprint from a frame configuring the content; a control unit configured to control the communications interface unit to transmit the fingerprint, in which an object is detected, to a server, and receive object information, matched with the transmitted fingerprint, from the server if the object is detected in the frame configuring the content; and an output unit configured to output the object information received at a time when a content part, matched with the transmitted fingerprint, is outputted. Therefore, the terminal device can reduce loads of the terminal device and the server when information related to the content is provided. |
