An apparatus and a method to remove hair in a near infrared spectrometer are provided. An apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: an arch-shaped body worn on the head of a user to expose a part of the scalp by forming a plurality of protrusions to arrange the hair when using the apparatus; a probe closely attached to the exposed scalp; and a sensor accommodated inside the probe to receive light.
