Provided is a safety device for an electrical outlet designed to prevent an electrical shock accident even when a conductive bar is inserted and allow a plug to be normally connected to an electrical terminal of the electrical outlet only when the plug is normally inserted. When an external force is applied to a plug body pressing a disk-shaped safety cover downwards in a state in which a pair of plug terminals are inserted into a pair of first plug terminal insertion holes formed in the disk-shaped safety cover, a pair of gliding arms integrally provided at two opposing points of edges of the safety cover glide to be lowered slantingly along a pair of guide recesses provided on upper portions of a pair of sidewall parts having a cylindrically curved shape. Accordingly, the pair of gliding arms integrally extend to be bent downwards along outer surfaces of the pair of sidewall parts from one side thereof and a pair of elastic legs fixed to a lower portion of a rotary guiding member in one end portion thereof are deformed to increase compressive stress, and the safety cover rotatably descends and the first plug terminal insertion hole is aligned right above an electrical outlet electrode terminal, so that the plug terminal can be inserted into the electrical outlet terminal. In this state, when a plug body is extracted upwards, the pair of gliding arms slantingly glide to be lifted along the pair of guide recesses by restoring force provided by the pair of elastic legs, and accordingly, the safety cover is rotatably lifted. Thus, the pair of first plug terminal insertion holes are spaced apart further from the pair of electrical outlet electrode terminals and an alignment thereof is released. |
