Provided is a connecting device capable of obtaining a strong holding force by controlling a magnetic flow from a permanent magnet; and easily switching a holding state and a releasing state, which is switching a state between a connection state in which a first object and a second object are connected, and a separation state in which the first object and the second object are not connected. The connecting device comprises: a holding module disposed to be adjacent to the first object or the second object, and having a holding surface to control a magnetic flow passing therethrough; an arrest module rotatably fixated to the second object; a releasing unit providing a force causing the arrest module to become away from the holding module; and a control device connected to the holding module to control a magnetic flow passing through the holding surface of the holding module. The holding module comprises: at least one permanent magnet; a plurality of pole pieces formed of magnetic bodies to form a path of a magnetic flow generated by the at least one permanent magnet; and at least one coil disposed to allow the path of the magnetic flow formed by the plurality of pole pieces to pass therethrough. The plurality of pole pieces and the permanent magnet are disposed to form a closed path allowing the magnetic flow to circulate within the holding module, thus minimizing a strength of the magnetic flow passing through the holding surface; and an open path preventing formation of the magnetic flow of the closed path, thus maximizing the strength of the magnetic flow passing through the holding surface. |
