According to the present invention, disclosed is a latch device for a vehicle which reduces production costs. The latch device for the vehicle in the present invention comprises: a base plate having a first movement groove part to induce a movement of a striker and fixated to a door; a latch gear mounted on the base plate to be rotatable, locking the striker inserted through the first movement groove part; a pawl mounted to face the latch gear and be rotatable, engaging with the latch gear to restrict a rotation of the latch gear; a transfer part receiving power via a wire, restricting or allowing the rotation of the pawl by rotating; a locking part inserted into the transfer part or separated therefrom to control power transmission to the transfer part; and a sharable elastic part having one side connected to the latch gear and an other end connected to the locking part, separately and elastically supporting the latch gear and the locking part. |
