Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for controlling a movement of a cursor by a small movement of a user. The apparatus for controlling a movement of a cursor includes: an input unit receiving a command to move a cursor from a user; a first display unit displaying a screen including the cursor; an interface unit setting a selection area on the screen; and a cursor movement control unit performing an operation for a movement of the cursor on the selection area.
