The present invention relates to a surface processing apparatus, which is moved by being connected with a manipulator on one side, and performs a predetermined work by being in contact with the surface of a processed object under a predetermined pressure. The surface processing apparatus of the present invention comprises: a deburring machine which includes a disk shaped operation unit of having a first operation surface to perform a polishing operation by being in contact with the surface of a processed object and a second operation surface to remove a burr of the surface by being formed on one side of the first operation surface and an actuator of being mounted on the manipulator on one end, which is combined with the operation unit on an other end, and pressurizing and rotating the operation unit toward the processed object; a surface sensor mounted on the deburring machine, detecting a state of the surface of the processed object; and a control unit which allows the first and second operation surfaces of the operation unit to selectively come in contact with the surface or burr of the processed object by controlling the actuator in accordance with the information of the state of the surface of the processed object detected from the surface sensor. According to the present invention, the surface processing apparatus is able to efficiently remove a burr by detecting a size of the burr formed on the surface of a processed object and performing a deburring operation by selecting the first operation surface or the second operation surface in response to the detected size.
