PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method improved for heating a tobacco, and usable for a heat-generating noncombustible smoking device.SOLUTION: A device containing a heater constituted so that at least one component of a smoking material is evaporated by heating the smoking material, includes a plurality of heating projections arranged continuously along the longitudinal direction axis thereof, and the projections are constituted so that each smoking material positioned therebetween is heated.
