PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt press in which a filtration space is formed by folding-back a piece of endless shape filter cloth, and thereby there is no occurrence of a side leak.SOLUTION: Provided is, in a belt press 1 in which a piece of endless shape filter cloth 3 is travel freely wound around over a plurality of rollers 2--, a filter cloth fold unit in which by including: a pressing roller 11 for pressing a filter cloth 3 downwardly to form an U-shaped bottom portion; a guide roller 12 for folding back both ends in width-direction of the filter cloth 3 at both sides of the pressing roller 11, to form U-shaped both sides; and a plurality of guide bar 13 for folding back to the sludge supplied side so as both ends in width-direction of the filter cloth 3 folded-back in U-shape, to overlap, the filter cloth 3 can be smoothly folded back and the sludge can be dewatered like wrapping the sludge with the filter cloth 3, and thereby there is no occurrence of a side leak.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
