Provided are: a secondary battery that can be mounted on a substrate and enables a voltage that is easily output to be selected during manufacturing; and a manufacturing method for the secondary battery. By laminating small cells having substantially the same shape and changing the number of layers, a secondary battery, which enables a voltage that is easily output to be selected during manufacturing, can be manufactured. Using an electrolyte having a spacer and a polymer in the cells, the distance between a positive electrode active material layer and a negative electrode active material layer is maintained at a certain distance or more by the spacer. The electrolyte is changed into a gel state by the polymer, and can be formed into a sheet shape. The positive electrode active material layer and the negative electrode active material layer are formed using a printing technique such as screen printing. |
