PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve certainty in supplying air to a scavenging passage through a piston groove.SOLUTION: A gas vent port 10 is formed on a cylinder wall 2 at a lower part of a scavenging port 6a in adjacent thereto. The gas vent port 10 is independent from the scavenging port 6a, and opened and closed by a piston similarly as an air port 4a and the scavenging port 6a. When the piston is raised and a piston groove 8 is communicated with the gas vent port 10 (Fig.1(II)), a return gas in the piston groove 8 can be moved to a crank chamber through the gas vent port 10.
