PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve polishing accuracy, to improve surface roughness of a ball groove, to improve polishing workability of the ball groove, by restraining core run-out of the axis of a screw shaft by pressure contact of a polishing tape, while simultaneously polishing the ball groove by the respective polishing tapes by bringing the respective polishing tapes of three sets of tape head parts into pressure contact with the ball groove toward the axis of the screw shaft from the radial direction of the screw shaft.SOLUTION: A ball screw polishing device comprises a tape head moving mechanism 8 for moving a tape head part 7 in the axis Wdirection of a screw shaft W and speed synchronization means 9 for synchronizing a rotation speed Q of the screw shaft and a moving speed F of a polishing tape T in response to a lead L of a ball groove B, and the tape head part is arranged by three sets in a substantially three-equal-arrangement position in the circumferential direction of the screw shaft, and the polishing tape of the respective tape head parts is brought into pressure contact with the ball groove toward the axis of the screw shaft from the radial direction of the screw shaft, and the ball groove is simultaneously polished by the respective polishing tapes.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
