PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a waiting time of a user until starting display of an operation screen in a language different from a prepared language in the case where an operation using the operation screen in the different language is desired in an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: When it is determined that a language for operation is switched from a first language to a second language, an MFP 10 starts switching processing to the second language (such as processing for collectively acquiring information for representing a plurality of operation screens in the second language from a server) and transmits information relating to an operation screen 310 which should be displayed at a present time point among the plurality of operation screens (operation screen information) to an external terminal 50. The external terminal 50 receives operation screen information including information for character string identification for identifying a processing target character string relating to the operation screen 310 from the MFP 10, acquires a changed character string that is obtained by representing the processing target string in the second language, on the basis of the information for character string identification, generates and displays an operation screen 510 including the changed character string.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
